Carrier bags crochet workshop
Part of Living Skin Conference 2024 “Ambivalent Eternal”
All levels welcome!
Free admission with 15 slots, RSVP here

I will carry you is a crochet workshop, in which Sidian Liu will teach participants basic crochet techniques to make carrier bags for vulnerable experience in their lives. The carrier bags are understood loosely here––it doesn’t have to be a traditional bag, but a soft crafted textile that can hold and support you at where you need the most. It can be either functional or conceptual. Thinking of Ursula K. Le Guin’s “The Carrier Bag Theory”, this workshop is aimed at inspiring participants to contemplate the care-structure that we can make in everyday life.
